Artwork by JOHN ZOLLER
John Zoller is a New York City artist who now makes his home in South Florida. An honored graduate of New York's School of Visual Arts, Zoller regrets having been born in Trenton, New Jersey, but admits that this fact fired his resolve to be an artist. Zoller's work has consistently explored the themes of pushing boundaries, ideas of perception, the meaning of art, and confronting postmodernism.
His Cartographic Series (paintings), Alphamega Series (experimental photography), and The United States Color and Learn (paintings and drawings) richly and breathtakingly pursue these themes. The United States Color and Learn is an ongoing series that began in early 2001. Colorful and provocative, it consists of over 100 paintings and works on paper. The series is a reflection of the fabric of our country, of American individualism, and takes on a new sense of urgency within the context of current events.
